Position Overview
The Huntsville Manufacturing Plant is looking for a Team Leader to facilitate daily work assignments, schedule team member overtime and vacations, monitor quality initiatives, manage an assigned section of the machining line, and assist the Resource Leaders as needed. This position will be assigned to the Head/Block Machining Line.
Schedule: 1st shift 6:30AM-5PM
Pay: $22.50 Per Hour (External)
$2.25 added to current pay rate for Internal candidates
Responsibilities
- Assist Resource Leader in making certification checklist training assignments Make daily assignments and manage daily production flow
- Enter time worked exceptions into the Kronos payroll system
- Assist Resource Leaders in documenting job performance
- Ensure team members have the necessary materials to perform all jobs
- Instruct, assist, and direct others as required
- Demonstrate knowledge and ensure team members are in compliance with process instructions, PFMEA, Control Plans
- Be an active participant in the workgroup and business team
- Strive for continual improvement and focus on the process, participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Accept accountability for achieving goals and planning strategies
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of all assigned assembly, machining or powertrain processes
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):
- Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
- Climb using both legs and arms

- Reach outward or above the shoulder
- Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers
- Use of vibrating tools
- Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
Desired Skills
- Previous supervisory experience in a team environment
- Computer literate (including Microsoft Office)
- Customer focused and have a drive for results
- Show initiative
