About us
In the role as Unit Head of Pack System Testing, you will be a key member of the newly established System Section within the Energy Storage Domain in TRATON R&D battery development. You will join a management team that values collaboration, diversity, and continuous improvement, focusing on our employees, our product, and our work processes.
Your tasks
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive test results on battery pack levels for the entire group, including functional, performance, life length, safety, and abuse testing. You will lead a diverse team of 15 skilled engineers located in Sweden, Germany, and the US. While much of the testing is performed in-house at our various sites, we also collaborate with external test suppliers.
You will lead and coach employees in daily operations and method development, alongside ongoing work in the VCT Energy Storage. With a comprehensive understanding of current projects, you will support the team by setting priorities and contributing strategic insights. You will also play a key role in advancing our agile methodologies and fostering strong global cooperation within TRATON.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 10 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
- At least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 8 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
- At least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
OR
- PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 6 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
- At least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

- Experience in testing is essential to support the team effectively. Previous experience in battery development or high voltage components is advantageous.
