Position Overview
International Motors is currently seeking a Vehicle Engineer. The Vehicle Engineering Team plays a central role in all our engineering programs, including model year refresh programs and emerging technologies. We coordinate development and validation activities for all programs, and we manage program vehicles, including builds and retrofits. We are responsible for understanding the end goal of the vehicle and features to develop the most optimized validation plan for each project.
Responsibilities
- Understand vehicle level attributes and requirements for programs.
- Define build specifications for engineering test vehicles and bucks.
- Manage vehicle and engine retrofits.
- Lead problem solving of engineering issues.
- Manage validation planning and execution including engine and vehicle builds.
- Participate in technical and analytical discussions with cross functional teams.
- Requires an understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems as well as a process driven problem-solving methodology.
- Responsible for understanding the end goal of the vehicle and features to develop the most optimized validation plan for each project.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 2 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
