The Job You Will Perform:
- Uses proper safety gear at all times.
- Treats batch tanks of wastewater.
- Scrapes press as needed to maintain continuous operation of system.
- Maintains chemical inventories. (Mixes chemicals as needed)
- Loading and unloading of chemicals. (Must be properly trained on driving lift trucks and DOT chemical handling)
- Comply with this facility’s environmental policy and environmental management system.
- Order chemicals used in DMP, “Day shift”.
- Understands the properties of all chemicals used in the DMP process.
- Performs JAR and COPPER tests.
- Calibrates pH meters.
- Performs daily and weekly clean-ups. (Three week pressure wash and six week acid wash), and (Housekeeping).
- Maintains daily logs and related paperwork.
- Dumps solids scraped from press into outside dumpster.
- Submit work orders for equipment in your care as needed.
- Inform your supervisor of all equipment malfunctions.
- Perform other duties as specified by supervisor.
The Skills You Will Bring
- High school diploma or state-registered GED preferred
- Ability to read factory orders, accurately read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment
- Be able to work in a team environment and must be available to work available shifts, weekends, and overtime
