The Riverdale Mill is currently seeking Journeymen who are dependable with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. The hourly rate of pay is $38.38.

The Job You Will Perform :

• Obtain daily work orders
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Dismantle machines as needed
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Assemble and install equipment
• Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan, blue prints and other drawings
• Utilize hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
• Operate cranes, tow motors and fork lifts
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators
• Install machinery; new and existing equipment
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment
• Refurbish / maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln
• Have computer skills
• Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
• Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
• Fabricate structural materials as needed
• Assist mechanical craft as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
