The Job You Will Perform
- Sales representatives are responsible for professionally and effectively representing International Paper’s North American Packaging Solution (NAPS) business in the bulk packaging segment . This requires successful management of a large sales territory by developing and fostering sound customer relationships.
- This position services customers in the Mid-Atlantic Territory from Virginia to New York.
- Sales Representatives are responsible for generating profitable revenue growth through prospecting, needs analysis, value propositions, incremental growth of existing business and fostering mutually beneficial relationships built on a foundation of trust.
- Sales representatives utilize available resources to evaluate a customer's packaging needs and then offers recommendations to fulfill those needs while simultaneously striving to meet regional and organizational objectives.
- Sales representatives will utilizes strong business skills, financial acumen and critical analysis to support intelligent business decisions.
- Sales representatives will become subject matter experts in their relative field through continuous evaluation of market conditions, economic conditions, competitive environment and opportunities for innovation. Sales representatives will sell across multiple business units within the region.
- Sales representatives will travel to multiple customer sites, attend meetings, and work in a variety of environments, some overnight travel will be required.
- BA/BS in a related field or related equivalent work experience in related field
- 5 years of sales experience
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Experience in the corrugated box industry is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Experience with the suite of Microsoft products; Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, etc
- Ability to navigate complex and elongated sales cycles
- Results Driven
- Intense focus on serving the customer
- Overnight travel will be required
