International Protective Service, Inc. (IPS) is seeking “QUALIFIED” and “PROFESSIONAL” security officer candidates for future positions in our District of Florida office. Armed Officers with prior military and law-enforcement encouraged to apply.
Applicants MUST meet all of the following minimal conditions.
-----> LICENSING: Must hold current and active "G" Security Guard License
Qualifications:
- Have prior military / law enforcement experience or (2) two years verifiable security experience.
- Must possess a valid Florida State Driver's License
- Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be either a United States citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must NOT have been convicted of, or pled guilty or nolo contendere to, a criminal offense in any state, territory, district of the United States or foreign country, that would exclude you from obtaining/maintaining a Security Guard License.
- Be able to speak and write in the English language with clarity and proper grammar and spelling
- Have a clean Driving Record. DRIVER HISTORY as condition of employment
- MUST* currently hold a “VALID” Florida Guard Card and Exposed Firearm permit, baton and OC permits. If Taser certified, must submit proof of training. *
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patrols and investigation of client property by assigned patrol vehicle or foot patrol.
- Respond safely to client alarm activations, calls for service, escorts etc.
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards, water hazards or any maintenance concerns
- Be able to write concise and accurate reports with proper spelling and grammar.
- Report criminal or suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
Prior employment, criminal and credit history will be verified. Drug Testing mandatory.
