International Protective Service, Inc. (IPS) currently has an open position for a full-time Mechanic. The position includes repair and maintenance of the corporate fleet of vehicles inear the Malibu, CA area with great opportunity for a well-trained mechanic. In addition, you will oversee any outsourced repairs from 3rd party vendors to ensure quality assurance and regular auditing of vehicle services provided. Ensuring all vehicles receive regular diagnostic testing and topping off of fluids daily will be part of the position requirements. Facilitating repairs to the body, paint, engine, interior, windshield, etc. will all be part of the position requirements.
It is important to IPS that candidates maintain a focus on the fleet of vehicles operated by IPS. It is preferred that candidates do not have side jobs, businesses, or any interests that could conflict or interfere with the primary focus of maintaining IPS fleet vehicles (approx. 15 vehicles including crown victorias, explorers, f150s, Tahoes, Suburbans, police packages, etc., IN ADDITION TO LARGE EXECUTIVE FLEET VEHICLES OF VARIOUS MAKES AND MODELS). All candidates will be placed on a 90 day probationary period upon hire. Candidates must provide their own tools and equipment (contact IPS for details).
Employees are expected to clock in and out according to their schedule with ongoing supervision. Mechanics will be employees of IPS and will meet all expectations of the position.
Zero Fraternizing. Mechanics must maintain a 100% professional relationship with all employees, vendors, and clients. All mechanic duties must be approved through upper IPS leadership.
- Must be able to pass a full criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and post employment random screenings.
- Must be able to pass a full credit check
- Must be experienced as an auto mechanic
- Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance on various models of vehicles.
- Must be willing work hard, be accountable daily, and show great consistency in your schedule while enjoying the benefits of self-supervision
- Must have a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record
