Scope of work & objectives:
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Leadership Programs, this TTA leads the implementation of translation efforts for the People Manager Essential Certification Program. This program was piloted in FY23/24 and launched globally in March 2024. The L&D team has evaluated learner feedback and collaborated with subject matter experts to improve the content and user experience – a new version of the program will be released in English in March 2025. Translation of this new version was initiated with an external partner in FY24 and all core materials will be ready for review in February 2025.
This TTA role will complete detailed reviews of the translated core content and will make direct updates to finalize the content. For less complex supplemental content (including worksheets, communications, internal web pages, program materials, etc.), the person will complete short translations themselves. In addition, the person may support other translation needs within Learning & Development (L&D), as assigned.
Major Responsibilities:
Translation Review and Revision
- Update and maintain workplan for translation project
- Complete detailed review of new Arabic translations of learning content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with IRC’s People Manager Standards, and directly revise translations as needed
- Complete detailed review of Arabic translations of learning videos, ensuring accuracy and alignment with IRC’s People Manager Standards, and document needed revisions
- Review and test updated learning modules once all changes from the detailed reviews have been incorporated
Translation Implementation and Resource Identification
- Translate short documents from English to Arabic (including worksheets and handouts, program communications, course introductions, and other related content)
- Research, identify, and validate relevant Arabic-language learning resources that can be included as Optional Resources in the learning modules
- Collaborate with external partner, as needed, to ensure effective localization of translated content
- Support other light L&D translation needs
Program Support
- Coordinate and support the testing of finalized content by Arabic-speaking learners
- Support the launch of the program for Arabic-speaking learners

- Position collaborates with: Director of Leadership Development, Translation Implementation Coordinator – SPANISH, Translation Implementation Coordinator – FRENCH
Requirements:
- Experience translating business communications and/or learning content from English into Arabic
- Experience leading translation projects
- Demonstrated skills and competencies:
- Highly detail-oriented and self-directed
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to keep on track with tight project timelines
- Ability to interact within a multi-cultural environment and with all levels of the organization
- Willingness to work collaboratively with other team members
- Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic and English
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency with Teams and/or other distance learning tools
- High proficiency with Microsoft office suite, especially Word
- Comfort with Articulate Rise or Storyline is a plus, but not required
- Experience with InDesign and/or Adobe Pro is a plus, but not required
