TTA - Youth Intake Coordinator

Major Responsibilities:

Youth Intake Coordinator - Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support a team of two staff members in the intake process for Refugee School Impact (RSI) and Refugee Youth Mentorship (RYM).
• Conduct bi-weekly 1:1 sessions with direct reports.
• Train new staff members and provide ongoing support.
• Ensure efficient and accurate intake process for RSI and RYM programs.
• Maintain communication with other departments and external referrals.
• Monitor and maintain accuracy of referral lists and enrollment data.
• Provide relevant data to the Program Manager as needed.
• Collaborate with Youth Coordinators to ensure effective intake processes.
• Update enrollment forms and maintain accuracy in enrollment packets.
• Track RYM/RSI enrollment identifiers and maintain departmental records in ETO and Client Track.
• Act as the main point of contact for all referrals.
• Stay up-to-date on ORR eligibility and ensure compliance with eligibility criteria.
• Support client enrollment and refer ineligible clients to appropriate community resources.
• Document client interactions and input data into databases as required.
• Collaborate with coworkers and community partners to improve client services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of 2 years’ experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
• Experience working with youth strongly preferred.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

• Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
• Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance with a willingness to conduct home visits for program enrollment.
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research and problem-solving purposes.
• Fluency in a second language such as Pashto, Dari, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic, Burmese and Swahili is highly desirable.

May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
