Position Title: Junior Project Manager

Reports To: Senior Project Manager
Summary
The Junior Project Manager will support construction and renovation activities for quick service restaurants located in mall food courts across the United States. This role is responsible for assisting with project coordination, bid processes, contractor selection, documentation management, and schedule monitoring. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, general contractors, project managers, and building officials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in managing construction and renovation projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate project plans, track plan logs, and manage the bid process and analysis.
• Support contractor selection and ensure proper documentation of meetings and project activities.
• Process daily project paperwork, including contracts, applications for payment, change orders, lien releases, and closeout documents.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Coordinate and document site visits, equipment deliveries, material deliveries, and vendor coordination.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including landlords, general contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
• Review construction drawings, bid documents, and project specifications to understand the scope of work.
• Assist with permitting requirements and prepare necessary preconstruction notices, including Notices of Commencement and permit applications.
• Coordinate with utility providers for electric, telephone, and gas services.
• Support various department tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an assistant project manager required.
• Experience in the construction industry working with restaurant development preferred.
• A proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and bid documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
