What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Preschool Music Instructor position at International School of Music?
The International School of Music in Bethesda, MD is looking for a part-time Preschool Music Instructor to teach our Early Childhood Music classes to toddlers and preschoolers.
Our Preschool Music teachers have the opportunity to:
- Teach classes to toddlers and preschoolers in the comfort of a professional studio environment
- Establish lasting relationships with the students
- Set their own personalized curriculum and set long-term musical goals for each class
Preferred music teacher candidates possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in music or early childhood education
- Previous teaching experience of young students (ages 1-6 years old)
- Use variety of teaching techniques including modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating and reinforcing
- Provide positive guidance including redirecting, positive language and positive reinforcement
- A friendly disposition, possesses tons of energy, patience, and humor
- Flexible and creative in teaching
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff
- Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching young children (6 months to 5 years old)
- Professional and punctual attitude
