ISC’s team of Financial Services Recruiters has been retained by a prominent and growing global investment firm. The firm specializes in providing customized investment management and investment advisory services to their clients – Ultra-High Net Worth individuals, families, trusts, foundations, and endowments. They’re seeking a talented Tax Associate to join their centralized team in their Delaware office.
Position Overview:
The Tax Associate will assist in preparing tax returns including fiduciary tax returns. The role involves providing support to the broader Advisory team, as well as Client Service and Trust Administration to ensure all tax-related matters are handled efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine prior years' tax returns for all new accounts to identify any tax concerns, including issues that may impact the Company’s ability to accept the role of trustee.
- Offer guidance to the Wealth and Trust team on income tax matters.
- Assist the team in evaluating the tax consequences of distributions and investments within fiduciary accounts.
- Partner with an outside firm to ensure that tax returns are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide outside firm with the required tax information for all accounts, collaborating with the advisory team as needed.
- Verify the accuracy of completed returns prior to submission.
- Oversee the timely payment of quarterly and annual taxes, ensuring proper tracking of filed returns.
- Monitor and track tax documents and refunds on an annual basis.
- Advise on 1099 forms and other tax-related filings.
- Conduct research on various tax-related topics as needed.
- Work closely with the Client Service and Operations teams to collect annual tax documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required. Accounting and/or Finance concentration is preferred.
- Experience preparing individual tax returns and tax estimates.
- Prior exposure to Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients is a plus.
