Job Description

Job Title: Burn Table Operator

Reports To: Welder Superintendent

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of CAD and ProNest nesting software needed
• Must pass drug screening
• Have all required PPE
• Good attendance and safety attitude
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated
• Read and understand all safety regulations
• Starting wage based off experience
• Calculate appropriate machine speeds and feeds
• Inspect and measure parts to maintain blueprint specifications
• Assist with development of new and improved processes and practices
• Maintain effective workspace cleanliness and organization practices
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Prior CNC experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications in a timely manner
• Placing appropriate metals needed to create parts in/on table
• Removing of scrap and skeletal sheets from table area
• Overhead crane operation experience required
• Basic computer knowledge
• Manage all plate inventory, with respect to job charging materials and maintaining accurate inventory counts
• Always ensure quality production in addition to proper operation of equipment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNC plasma operator

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations before customers, clients, or employees of organization.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in the performance of essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The employee may be required to climb or balance above a height of 5 feet in the performance of essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The employee should test in the acceptable range for vision, hearing and respiratory functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee is regularly exposed to extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions. The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The wearing of the appropriate personal protective equipment mitigates risks associated with these conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.25 per hour
