Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Manager will partner with the General Manager of the airport to build a successful business unit with a team of sales professionals who are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth, managing store operations, and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Models and holds the team accountable for delivering exceptional customer service. Actively listens to customer issues to resolve problems and ensures the team follows core standards for the selling floor and cash wrap.
- Sales: Drives the planning and execution of sales events, tastings, and other promotional activities to drive sales growth. Supports omni-channel initiatives and reviews results to identify areas of opportunity.
- Merchandising & Visual Execution: Owns the selling floor set process and merchandising standards. Actively walks the selling floor and strategizes with the team to plan and execute visual elements.
- People Management: Selects and develops a team of qualified selling-focused associates to build a bench for future advancements and promotions. Ensures supervisors conduct daily roll calls and provides ongoing talent analysis to establish career progression plans.
- Performance Management: Monitors and addresses performance issues on a timely basis. Celebrates and recognizes selling successes and coaches associates to improve their performance.
- Inventory Management: Ensures accurate inventory management, including daily merchandise inventories and cash audits.
- Security Policies: Ensures all airport and security policies are adhered to and reinforced with the staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing store operations
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and POS systems
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
