Job Description
This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide the services outlined below. International SOS is looking for an Telehealth Medical Assistant to support staffing in National Teleoncology Program. The Telehealth Medical Support Assistant will provide self-directed support to the clinical staff, patients and families in the clinical area and as needed throughout the continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage requests for information, determine appropriate action, and meet performance expectations.
- Respond to all inquiries and messages in a timely manner.
- Complete scheduling of patient appointments according to current VHA standards.
- Take appropriate action to update schedule with regard to cancellations, no-shows, and re-scheduling of patients.
- Review telehealth workload for timely and accurate capture and inform appropriate staff of actions required.
- Upon request, will provide administrative and technical support for the department/section.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Remote administrative experience - Telehealth and specifically Teleoncology experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior VA or military experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing telehealth or in-person administrative medical support.
Education Required:
Bachelors or Associate Degree in relevant field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- Must relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
- Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance

Compensation| Min: $19hr Max: $23hr
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
