About the role
The Health Services Assistant administers treatment of work-related injuries and evaluates and documents its effectiveness.
This is a full-time day shift 9:00 am until 5:00 pm position at one of our industrial client sites in New Albany, OH. The Health Services Assistant will work out of our Medical Facility Center. Shift start and end time may require flexibility depending upon the needs of the site. Candidates must be local to the area. Bilingualism in English/Spanish and a health background are required for this role.
Key responsibilities
- Transports injured (work related) employees to offsite provider appointments and collects
- documentation as required. (Vehicle will be provided by client site)
- Reviews medical documentation to ensure all is accounted for.
- Assists in the management of requisite occupational medical records for site employees.
- Maintain files (hard copy and electronic)
- Monitors all follow-up actions required by supervisor/manager and Health Services Coordinator.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
About you
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Must have a valid USA Drivers License
- Comfortable transporting craft professionals.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Knowledge of filing systems and common office procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of related secretarial/administrative experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic to intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including (spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proper use of syntax).
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Preferred Requirements
- A health background is preferred (EMT-B, LPN, CMA etc.)
- Must be proactive, have above-average organizational skills, use individual initiative and follow assignments through to completion.
- Proven administrative capability including the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be flexible and willing to shift gears and take on unexpected and/or unanticipated projects as needed.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of filing systems and common office procedures.
