What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camera Operator position at International Sound Corporation?
International Sound Corporation is currently hiring several local Camera Operators for the production of a live television broadcast show for a Thoroughbred Racetrack in Shelbyville, Indiana. One of the available positions is for the operation of a patrol camera, which requires the ability to climb a tower each day, so the candidate for this position must not have a fear of heights. The second position available is for an ENG camera position, which will require the ability to operate handheld camera in the winners circle and for low level shots during the live race. This position will require the ability to carry 10 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Candidates for both available positions should have the ability to set up and operate a professional broadcast camera and take direction from our Technical Director. One year of camera operation experience is preferred and training will be offered for both vacancies. The positions are part time and seasonal from Tuesday April 15th through Thursday November 13th. Work shifts will include Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, and some Saturday’s, with work hours 1:30 PM until 7:30 PM most racing days. Some of the Saturday racing days work shifts will be from 9:15 AM until 4:00 PM. The starting rate of pay for each of the positions is $15.75 per hour. The candidate must obtain an occupational license with the Indiana Horse Racing Commission on the grounds of the racetrack prior to starting the job.
