What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Operator position at International Sound Corporation?
International Sound Corporation is currently seeking local qualified applicants in the Berlin, Maryland area for Video Operator positions. Applicants should possess experience with the operation of professional broadcast equipment including a windows based character generator, digital video recorders, and a robotic PTZ camera joystick controller to work in a live television production environment. The positions are seasonal and part time and require nighttime availability at a Harness racetrack in Berlin, MD. The positions are ideal for those seeking to begin a career in live broadcasting. Training will be offered for the available position on Saturday May 24th. The live racing season runs from Sunday May 25th through Wednesday September 3rd with work nights on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays as follows:
May- Sun 5/25 and Wed 5/28
June- Sun 6/1, 8, 15, 22, & 29. Mon 6/2, 9, 16, 23, & 30. Wed 6/4, 11, 18, & 25.
July- All Sundays through Wednesdays.
August- All Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.
September- Wednesday September 3rd (Closing night).
Work hours are during the evening from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM. The starting wage is $15.00 per hour for the available position with a guarantee of 6 hours per live race night. The candidate must be available to work for all live racing dates as listed above. The candidate must have reliable transportation and obtain an occupational license with the Maryland Racing Commission at the racetrack.
