Our client, a growing Houston area law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Defense Litigation Associate to join their team. This role provides an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a passion for litigation and experience in handling complex insurance defense cases. As a part of the litigation team, you will be responsible for managing cases from inception through trial, with a focus on defending insurance claims and providing strategic legal counsel to the firm's clients. Key Responsibilities :
- Represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense matters, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
- Manage a caseload involving complex legal issues, from pre-suit investigation to trial preparation and settlement negotiations.
- Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery requests / responses.
- Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediation, and court appearances.
- Provide timely and effective legal advice to clients, keeping them informed of case progress, potential risks, and strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and assist with case strategy and legal research.
- Stay current on developments in insurance law, tort law, and trial procedures.
