What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrician position at International Staff Consulting?
The Senior Electrician performs basic and high-level electrical work on buildings, equipment, machinery, and industrial systems at all company facilities. Works independently to design, build, test, & repair VFDs, PLCs and other electrical circuits and components to improve function and efficiency. The primary responsibilities are electrical in nature but may also include instrumentation, automated process controls, mechanical repairs, and plumbing.
Responsibilities :
- Connect power supply wiring to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machinery and equipment, following manuals, blueprints & schematic diagrams, using hand tools and test equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using testing equipment, and replace broken or damaged cables and wiring.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly-installed equipment and machinery, such as conveyors and programmable controllers, following blueprints and electrical code.
- Test malfunctioning equipment and discuss findings with Maintenance staff to effectively diagnose the root cause.
- Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, and motors, and correctly position sensing devices.
- Diagnose and replace or repair faulty electronical components, such as PCBs.
- Conduct tasks related to Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, and perform testing of electrical equipment & control systems.
- Install electrical components, control circuits, breaker panels, light circuits, and motor power
