What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Manager position at International Staffing Consultants, Inc.?
This is a critical leadership role responsible for the oversight of all environmental policies and procedures across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a compliance calendar to support environmental permitting, regulatory activity, and EMS to ensure facility compliance with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Oversee the operation, compliance, and reporting of the facility's Wastewater Treatment System.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials, including evaluation of alternative options, scheduling, record-keeping, certifications, and training.
- Drive ongoing sustainability efforts to achieve targeted improvements and participate in the MDI process as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Environmental Specialist or similar position in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- 4-year degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar required.
