International Support Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Janitor to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in a variety of facilities. The ideal candidate will follow established cleaning protocols to ensure all areas are clean, safe, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carpet Care:
- Vacuum and spot clean carpets to remove visible dirt, litter, and embedded soil.
- Shampoo carpets according to manufacturer recommendations, ensuring they are free of stains, odors, and chemical residue.
- Floor Maintenance:
- Sweep and mop non-carpeted floors, including corners and under furniture.
- Apply and buff floor wax to maintain a glossy, clean appearance.
- Strip old wax and apply new wax per floor specifications.
- Trash Removal:
- Empty and clean all trash receptacles, replacing liners as needed.
- Dispose of trash and ensure areas around dumpsters are tidy.
- Dusting:
- Perform low and high dusting of surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Clean horizontal surfaces, blinds, and light fixtures regularly.
- Glass Cleaning:
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces up to 8 feet high to remove streaks and smudges.
- Restroom and Locker Room Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, and disinfect all surfaces, including floors, partitions, and fixtures.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Perform de-scaling of sinks, toilets, and urinals as needed.
- Exercise Equipment Cleaning:
- Use germicidal disinfectant to clean and sanitize exercise equipment and mats.
- Lighting Maintenance:
- Clean and check light fixtures regularly, replacing bulbs as needed.
- Report non-functional fixtures or specialty bulb requirements to management.
- Specialty Tasks:
- Spot clean walls, partitions, and other surfaces to remove fingerprints, marks, and stains.
- Report damages or issues like carpet tears, broken blinds, or defective fixtures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, buffers, mops).
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Physical ability to lift, move, or carry objects up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.
Work Environment:
This role involves working in diverse environments, including offices, restrooms, locker rooms, exercise facilities, and other spaces. Safety measures, including the use of caution signs, must be followed to prevent hazards.
