International Security Group (ISG) is a small business established in 2015 to provide facility services to the U.S. government and various nations overseas. We have corporate offices located in Miramar and Jacksonville, Florida.
We are currently seeking a certified and dedicated Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a background in Fire Alarm systems and be able to repair or replace systems along with performing preventative maintenance. Must be able to travel throughout the United States as we have locations in numerous states.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarms and low voltage systems.
- Ensure that the work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on existing systems to ensure functionality.
- Collaborate with clients to determine their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Work with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Keep accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on job sites.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Must have experience in Fire Alarm service and install.
- Must have a high level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code as well as other applicable codes and standards.
- Must pass a full drug test.
- Must have good driving record.
- Must pass the background check.
The purpose of our Fire Alarm Technician position is to install, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair fire Alarm systems, and other fire and life safety products with minimal supervision. Appropriate use of required tools and test equipment such as multi-meter, megger, laptop to program, lifts, etc. Repair or replace fire alarm and suppression system components. Comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards. Programing and software knowledge with a variety of fire alarm systems that is used when removing or replacing components. Troubleshoot to determine fault or faults to include ground faults with fire alarm systems. Repair or replace damaged components. Communicate with internal and external customers as well as offsite monitoring companies in a professional manner. Required to be punctual to required work locations and complete scheduled projects in timely manner. Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained as required by company policies. Periodically attend seminars or similar education/training sessions to stay abreast of latest technology, codes, and standards changes. Other duties may be assigned. Employee will occasional be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights. Employees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise. Employee will occasionally be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others.
