What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC/Controls Technician position at International Support Group LLC?
International Support Group (ISG) is looking for a certified Trane HVAC Controls technician who must have verifiable proof of experience in Trane Tracer Summit Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) controls, Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems, and mut be able to perform test and balance on existing HVAC systems. This job will involve interfacing, manipulating, and programming software which is proprietary to the Trane Company. The ideal candidate must be able to travel locally and nationally when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot HVAC control systems, ensuring that they operate according to specifications and meet client requirements.
- Perform diagnostics and calibration on control systems, including sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
- Ensure all elements of the HVAC control system, including graphics, are fully functional and properly linked to physical devices or virtual points.
- Provide detailed reports on the condition of the controls, results of preventative maintenance (PM) tests, and required repairs.
- Respond promptly to service calls, ensuring a response within one hour during normal working hours and within four hours after normal hours for urgent issues.
- Collaborate with building owners, engineers, and contractors to verify system functionality based on the original sequence of operation or as required by the owner.
Qualifications
-Base knowledge of Trane Technologies' proprietary controls is required.
-Niagara Certification is required.
-Proven experience in managing and maintaining commercial HVAC control systems.
-Strong understanding of HVAC controls sequences and system functionality.
-Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
