Responsibilities
As a working custodial supervisor /Janitor Manager, you will manage a team of custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of buildings and facilities.
- This position requires daily travel
- Performing custodial duties at assigned locations to include: cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and cleaning windows.
- Experience with floor cleaning equipment, floor buffing, floor stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
- Supervising staff: Assigning work, monitoring employees, and providing training and work reviews
- Managing schedules: Planning and preparing employee work schedules
- Ensuring quality: Inspecting work to ensure it meets standards and conducting quality assurance inspections
- Maintaining equipment and supplies inventory: Ensuring equipment and supplies are available and determining maintenance needs
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring staff complies with company procedures and safety precautions
- Coordinating activities: Coordinating activities with other departments to ensure efficient service
- Participating in the hiring process: Participating in the interview and hiring process
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Reports to Director of Janitorial
Qualification Requirements
- Must have a minimum of two years janitorial custodial experience required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be willing to drive daily.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Janitorial: 2 years (Preferred)
- Work Location: In person
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
