Superintendant (Ground Up Construction)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, laborers, and materials to ensure efficient workflow.
• Review construction plans and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
• Utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare budgets and forecasts for project costs.
• Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality control measures.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress using software tools such as Prolog and Primavera.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
• Implement effective communication strategies among team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using construction management software such as Bluebeam for project documentation and collaboration.
• Familiarity with tools like an ohmmeter for electrical work assessments is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
