Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. Familiarity with logistics, supply chain management, and various procurement software systems such as Oracle is highly desirable.

Duties

• Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order creation.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future supply needs.
• Utilize procurement software (such as Oracle EBS or SAP) for order processing and tracking.
• Assist in the evaluation of supplier performance and compliance with contracts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles is preferred.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics management.
• Proficient in using procurement software such as Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar systems.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable pricing agreements.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding supplier selection.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
