We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Consultant Lead

This individual will be responsible for designing and developing effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies and optimizing the sales performance of our dealer network. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product offerings, marketing initiatives, and dealer operations to develop GTM strategies to support dealers in achieving their sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the commercial vehicle industry, dealer operations, and market dynamics.

This position is a hybrid role base in our Lisle, Illinois headquarters and will report to the Service Contracts and Connectivity Go To Market and Enablement Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive go-to-market strategies to optimize dealer performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful design of GTM strategies.
  • Work closely with dealers to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of GTM strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis on GTM strategies - within the industry and outside industry strategies.
  • Develop sales strategies and programs to support dealers in achieving their sales goals and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement within the dealer network.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 12 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, finance or joint venture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • Master's degree
  • At least 8 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, finance or joint venture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • At least 14 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, finance or joint venture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Proven experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry.

  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders.
  • Up to 10% travel throughout North America.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
