As a Data Engineer, you will leverage cutting-edge analytics to unlock the potential within our data, guide critical business decisions, and propel sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, storage, and compute components using Azure Services.
- Understand the Data Platforms & Services strategy, and information architecture, and help build modern data lakes to support International’s data needs.
- Foster a culture of sharing, re-use, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions.
- Assist in the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools to modernize the data platform.
- Partner with analysts and architects to support technical architectures for data engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience
- Master’s degree and no experience
- At least 3 years of data engineering, data quality and/or analytics or statistical analysis experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
- Hands-on experience with software development, data engineering, and systems architecture.
- Experience deploying modern data solutions leveraging components like Azure functions, Azure Data Factory, Data Flows, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Streaming Analytics, or equivalent.
- Understanding of Data Lake architectures, including raw, enriched, and curated layer concepts, and ETL/ELT operations.
- Proficiency in PLSQL, Spark, PySpark, Python, and Pandas.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, and Event Hub.
- Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses with Big Data technologies.
- Knowledge of modernizing Hadoop, Teradata on-prem data warehouses is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps.
- Intellectual curiosity to understand and answer questions.
- Exemplary organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
