Navistar Service Insights team with Service Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist Lead Sr. The role is responsible in developing applications on Palantir Foundry, Palantir Workshop and Carbon Workspace to aid in development of AI/ML tool for repair plan creation within dealer workflow solutions and support within the Digital solutions function providing insights to service operations enhancement.
The Data Scientist Lead Sr, will design, develop and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse "big data" sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for services and product enhancement. Develop and code software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy applications on Palantir Foundry. Use applications including Palantir Workshop and Carbon Workspace to support the dealer workflow application development
- Utilize data processing app on Foundry including Code Workbook, Data Lineage, and Pipeline Builder for data pipelines
- Develop data integration and preparation processes to centralize and integrate information across different personas
- Create intuitive user interfaces and visualizations to facilitate data exploration and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration among different personas.
- Conduct testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data analytics and workflow management
- Ability to extract and analyze data from internal databases as well as from external data
- Prepare recurring analysis, monitoring, and develop new analysis processes in conjunction with multiple business areas in the company
- Develop new methods of analysis and support adoption of advanced analytical techniques throughout the company
- Actively support the development of new custom-built data systems aimed at informational support of analysis and reduction of the time and cost of doing business
- Responsible for development of visualization tools / KPI's for various business functions
- Effectively present analytic results and communicate modeling to internal customers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field
- At least 5 years of analytics, data quality or statistical analysis experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
- Master’s degree and in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field
- At least 3 years of analytics, data quality or statistical analysis experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field
- At least 1 years of analytics, data quality or statistical analysis experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Proven experience in developing applications on Palantir Foundry or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience in workflow management and automation, preferably in a dealership or automotive industry context.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Spark, R, or Java.
- Familiarity with data integration and preparation techniques, including ETL processes and data lineage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills / strong business partner
- Machine Learning/Predictive Modeling experience including regression and classification
- Cloud Platforms (Azure / Amazon Web Services) a plus
- Agile way of working knowledge is a plus
