Responsibilities
Attend news gatherings and propose 5-10 stories every day for close checking, refreshing, and other strategic advancements (feature changes, backlinking, story refreshes, picture streamlining)
Alert editors in the newsroom to won and lost positioning and follow up to ensure they are actioned
Conduct keyword exploration, selection, and communication for the day's popular narratives and for tentpole occasions
Support the larger search team in delivering SEO instructional courses to newsroom editors and consistently review and make recommendations for improved training
Provide monthly reports on search performance in Google News merry-go-rounds, Google News, and desktop query results
