Overview
Offer best in class travel consulting to valued customers complete with travel arrangements including but not limited to air, hotel, car, and limo reservations.
The role will be assisting our independent advisor business owners’ clients with travel emergencies outside of normal business hours.
The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates. If the job posting indicates that the role is available for international candidate consideration, the salary range will be based on the local market for the country where the candidate would be working.
This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
Responsibilities
- Book air, car, and hotel utilizing the Sabre reservation system.
- Issue tickets, exchanges and refunds using the SABRE reservation system.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of airline fare rules
- Invoicing as required utilizing Sabre
- Deliver extraordinary customer service by providing consultative service to clients throughout the booking process and by completing all reservations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Adept at using the internet to research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews, and costs to best meet customers’ travel objectives.
- Knowledge of world geography, routing, faring and international requirements of traveling to foreign countries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least eight (8) years of experience as a full-time travel agent, booking domestic and international travel, using public and private carriers.
- Strong knowledge of Sabre reservation system including GDS formats, short cuts, enhancements, pricing, ticketing, and exchanges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly relay information to clients and counsel them on all their travel options.
- Excellent dispute resolution skills.
- Must be well-organized and detail oriented.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Flexible work schedule; will be required to work in the evenings and on weekends.
