Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis of the Altour division, this position is primarily responsible to support analysis and projects to increase the profitability and operations of the division. We are looking for a candidate that is adaptive, action oriented, can work independently, take ownership of processes and tasks and not afraid to think outside of the box.
Responsibilities
This role within Finance will be broad and is expected to change with the business’s needs. Some of the areas the Analyst can expect to lead are:
- Support month end P&L result reviews – comparing to prior periods, forecasts/budgets – and researching journal entries to uncover drivers of monthly results
- Drive updates and improvements to sales pipeline reports and work with operations teams to manage/track won business on a regular basis
- Own the manual creation, distribution, and review with leaders of a carve-out P&L related to one of the lines of business
- Produce and review monthly client profitability analysis, work with operations to understand drivers on low performers and develop/enhance reporting to division leadership
- Provide support for financial analysis, strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business planning for the company
- Track and report on business KPIs
- Support Excel modeling and preparation of PowerPoint presentations / visuals to show progress, updates, and status
- Continuously review current processes and identify opportunities for potential improvements or enhancements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Economics
- 5 years prior finance experience
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Prior travel industry experience a plus
- TM1 (Cognos), NetSuite, Salesforce, PowerBI experience a plus
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills, work ethic, problem solving ability and overall positive attitude
- Willing and able to learn and apply knowledge quickly
- Comfortable working independently and being action oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while under pressure
- Strong business acumen
- Must be able to work successfully in a matrix team environment, working well with all levels of management and staff within the organization
- Ability to interact with senior division leadership and corporate executives
- Must operate with a sense of urgency, driving for results and opportunities to maximize profitability and enhance return on invested capital
- Comfortable self-navigating and completing projects with unstructured parameters and guidance
- Accurate with keen attention to detail
