What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Reliability Engineer position at Interoceanic Corporation?
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
- Kilns, turbines pumps and engines
- Rotating Equipment
- Failure Analysis and Root Cause Investigation: Analyze equipment failures to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement preventive measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Reliability Improvement Plans: Design and execute reliability improvement projects, including developing maintenance strategies, optimizing preventive maintenance tasks, and implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, generate reports on failure trends, and utilize data to identify areas for improvement.
- Condition Monitoring: Utilize condition monitoring techniques like vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and oil analysis to detect potential failures before they occur.
- Design Review and Feedback: Collaborate with engineering teams during design phases to incorporate reliability considerations and identify potential failure modes through FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on reliability best practices, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and selecting appropriate repair or replacement parts.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior reliability engineers, lead cross-functional teams on reliability improvement projects, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Project Management: Manage reliability-related projects, including budget planning, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in reliability engineering principles and practices
- Expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and reliability prediction techniques
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and related software
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
