Our company continues to grow and expand, which presents many new opportunities. Our Jackson, WI plant is eagerly seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team!
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of all Spring Valley equipment. This maintenance position is an industrial/production setting. This job description is not all inclusive and may change from time to time as deemed necessary by management.
Job Overview:
- Collaborate with Plant Manager, Maintenance Technicians & Safety Coordinator to ensure maintenance and safety related matters are resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines such as hoppers, screeners, mixing machines, bag sealers, and scales.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation
- Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Schedule and coordinate outside companies to perform repairs as needed
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed:
- Able to work under pressure and prioritize maintenance needs
- Problem solving and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer knowledge
- Previous experience, degree, or knowledge in blueprint reading, schematics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, engines, maintenance/repair of heavy equipment/machines in an industrial environment, etc.
- Ability to lift over 50lbs
- Comfortable using ladders and working at heights up to 90 feet
- Have reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening
- Outstanding attendance and punctuality
- Ability to wear PPE including but not limited to safety toe boots, safety glasses, harnesses, and dust mask or respirator.
Shift:
- Four 10 hour shifts per week during 2nd shift (2:15pm-12:45am) Monday - Thursday.
- Training will take place during varied 1st shift hours to start (6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday)
Pay:
- Hourly pay depending on skills and experience.
- Daily Production Bonus (paid bi-weekly)
- Monthly Attendance Bonus
