Job Description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual to manage and support our big box retail operations. In this role, you will oversee the accuracy of orders, maintain inventory integrity, and ensure smooth invoicing processes. You’ll be working closely with our sales and logistics teams, using Business Central as your primary ERP tool, while also engaging with various SaaS platforms such as GoRamp and SPS Commerce. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives on efficiency, data accuracy, and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Management:
- Accurately input and track orders for big box store clients, ensuring all details—from pricing to delivery terms—are correct and current.
- Monitor open orders and proactively resolve any discrepancies or fulfillment issues.
Inventory Control:
- Verify on-hand inventory levels within Business Central to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain accurate counts and identify variances.
- Collaborate with the Demand Planner to develop and maintain effective production plans for all Spring Valley site locations.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials required to meet customer demand and forecasted needs.
Invoicing & Reconciliation:
- Generate and review invoices, ensuring that billing aligns with purchase orders and agreed-upon terms.
- Identify and rectify invoice discrepancies or payment issues in a timely manner.
Systems & SaaS Tools:
- Leverage Business Central for day-to-day ERP tasks, including data entry, reporting, and basic troubleshooting.
- Learn and effectively utilize additional platforms like GoRamp and SPS Commerce for logistics, EDI transactions, and vendor compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales, supply chain, and accounting teams to maintain alignment on orders, inventory, and payment statuses.
- Communicate with big box clients as needed to ensure smooth order fulfillment and foster positive relationships.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Prior experience in retail operations, order management, or supply chain support strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with big box retail standards and expectations is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or a similar ERP system).
- Comfort with learning new SaaS platforms like GoRamp and SPS Commerce; prior experience a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface confidently with internal teams and external partners.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
