The Shift Leader assists the location Manager in providing an experienced and trained staff. Ensures customers and landlords are provided with the highest level of service on their shift. Assists the Facility and/or Operations Manager in maintaining established revenue controls and accountability systems.

Reports to the (Facility/Operations) Manager. The Shift Leader is directly responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations for an assigned shift. The Shift Leader assists the location Manager in providing an experienced and trained staff. Ensures customers and landlords are provided with the highest level of service on their shift. Assists the Facility and/or Operations Manager in maintaining established revenue controls and accountability systems.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assists the Facility and/or Operations Manager in the supervision and evaluation of employee performance, including participation in coaching and discipline where applicable.
- Provides training and support to other hourly staff on procedures related to job responsibilities and may assist employees in their jobs as needed in cashier, driver, parking lot attendant, dispatcher and light maintenance functions.
- Sets standards for staff by appropriately modeling company policies and norms.
- Channels requests and requirements of location’s landlord to appropriate decision-maker.
- Coordinates daily activities with his or her manager and transitions responsibilities between shifts.
- Serves as the point person for all customer service inquiries, complaints, incident reports and claims for the shift.
- Ensures facility and employee appearance meets company standards on assigned shift.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Management, Finance, Accounting, or Hospitality or at least one year of experience in hospitality, real estate, retail management, parking, logistics/transportation, or the manufacturing industry.
- Computer literate; proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
- Proficient in basic math skills commensurate with calculating time and cash equivalents.

- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in US.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in order to operate company or customer vehicles.
- MUST be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check.
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
- Must be able to maintain flexibility in work schedule in order to meet operational needs. This may require the Shift Leader to occasionally work outside of regular scheduled hours.
- MUST be able to walk or move to assist customers in a timely manner; in some cases, must be able to travel up and down parking garage ramps in order to assist customers and garage issues.
- Ability to grasp, push, scoop, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- At least 1 year of experience supervising, coaching, and administering disciplinary actions and performance evaluations for non-exempt personnel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, real estate, accounting, or related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: conveys professionalism and competence effectively to superiors, peers, staff, customers, and landlords.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to succeed in fast-paced environment.
- Strong safety knowledge and awareness always using good judgment.
