Position Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with flexibility as needed. Saturday rotations may be required as the company evolves to meet patient needs.
- Location: 720 NE 181st Avenue, Suite B, Gresham, ORÂ
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Laboratory Associate, you’ll engage in a variety of exciting and impactful duties, including:
- Conducting wet laboratory processes and sample preparation using both manual and automated techniques (e.g., solid-phase extraction, derivatization, dilution, concentration, centrifugation, and pipetting).
- Operating and maintaining mass spectrometry (MS) instruments to deliver accurate test results.
- Performing quality testing of biological specimens to ensure precise and timely outcomes.
- Assisting with complex automated laboratory equipment and precision instruments while using cutting-edge software and tools.
- Participating in proficiency testing and adhering to HIPAA policies to protect patient confidentiality.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, clients, and team members.
- Supporting quality assurance initiatives and following established safety protocols to maintain the highest standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or EquivalentÂ
Experience in a medical lab environment. Preference for experience with Agilent and Mass Hunter software and Hamilton automated sample prep.Â

General Physical Requirements
Technical Assistants must wear appropriate protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield) at all times while in the lab and are regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples. Physical requirements, in addition to willingness & ability to wear protective gear while working, are:Â
- Ability to stand for extended period of times
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis
- Must be able to distinguish color and pass vision acuity test
OSHA Category: This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
