We are seeking a Part-Time UDS Observer to monitor and oversee the urine drug screening process.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Observing and monitoring individuals during the urine drug screening process to ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality throughout the testing process.
- Providing clear and professional communication with patients regarding the procedure.
- Ensuring proper handling, labeling, and documentation of urine specimens.
- Following all safety protocols and health regulations related to specimen collection.
- Maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality and security of all patient information.
- Assisting in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 6pm
Locations: Daily call-in required at 8:30 AM to confirm assignment location (Boise or Nampa)

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of consistent employment, demonstrating continuity and minimal career gaps.

General Physical Requirements
- Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.
- High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.
- Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.
- Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.
OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.
