With offices in Orlando and Chicago, our Orlando office is expanding, and we are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities
- Single point contact for engineering projects
- Be able to do building heating/cooling load calculations
- Design applicable heating/cooling systems
- Equipment and system specifications
- Do basic HVAC plans for RTU and split system design
- Duct sizing and diffuser selection
- Temperature controls
- Grease exhaust hood design
- Grease exhaust/Make-up air systems
- Basic general exhaust systems
- Responsible to permit comments
- Review shop drawing submittals
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 - 4 years of professional experience in design required
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the design of building HVAC systems required
- Any retail or grocery store design experience a plus
- Experience in the design of building HVAC systems
- Has lead projects in mechanical and plumbing designs
- Has PE or on track to get PE
- Knowledge/understanding of mechanical building codes
- Knowledge of heating and cooling load calculations, mechanical materials, systems, and their application
- Experience with DX, chilled water, and variable air systems
- Ability to run heating/cooling loads with Carrier and/or Trane programs is required
- Ability to produce energy code calculations required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2000 or later to produce construction documents in accordance with Interplan standards required
