Production / Cable Extrusion Operator

Interpower Corporation is currently seeking team-oriented individuals for full-time opportunities in our Lamoni, IA facility. Hours are 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. Overtime may be required as needed.

Join a team that produces cable, power cords, and cord sets that are used for various products such as medical devices or test and measurement equipment in North America and the United Kingdom.

Enjoy a clean and climate-controlled environment. A typical day consists of monitoring multiple pieces of equipment and moving quickly to change-over product to ensure a continuous, quality output of product.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Using state of the art machinery to product electrical cable
• Setting up the line to extrude cable that meets all quality checks
• Monitoring processes to ensure raw material levels are adequate and processes are operating correctly
• Shutting down the line, cleaning tooling and performing housekeeping duties

Physical requirements include the need to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally push up to 75 pounds. Approximately 80% of the work day is spent standing, reaching and/or walking between equipment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma/GED and computer experience.
