POSITION SUMMARY :
The Project Manager in the Data Governance Office is responsible for overseeing and managing projects initiated by the Data Governance Office to ensure data quality, compliance, and effective data management practices across the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments, stakeholders, and data stewards to support the implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of data governance initiatives and ensuring risks and issues are properly identified and escalated for resolution. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating data governance projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
The Project Manager will support the Data Governance Office in communicating the status of current data governance activities to all the relevant stakeholders of the Data Governance Office, facilitating meetings and ensuring adequate and effective communication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments and budgets for data governance initiatives. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and work with the Data Governance Office to document and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Track project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress to leadership.
- Collaborate with the Data Governance Office, Data Owners, data stewards, the Enterprise Datahub and the Master Data Management teams to define and document project requirements, objectives, and deliverables. Facilitate communication and coordination among these stakeholders.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and documentation. Ensure all project-related documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Support the Data Governance Office in promoting and championing data literacy within the organization.
- Provide training and support to relevant Stakeholders on data governance policies, procedures, practices and tools. Promote a culture of data governance within the organization.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
SALARY RANGE :
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current / former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's / applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
