What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at Interra Brand?
Working Model: Hybrid
We have a balanced working model to ensure you have the flexibility you need. The successful candidate will balance their time between working in the office (minimum of two days) and working from home.
As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business issues and recommend viable solutions. Collaborate with business users and the Innovation Management team to facilitate decision-making, information gathering, and documentation of processes. Define requirements for both application development and process improvements. Act as a liaison among business units, third-party vendors, project managers, and the Innovation Management team to ensure system development and enhancements meet business standards. Manage stakeholder satisfaction for small to medium projects and provide support on larger projects.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
40% Actively seek ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business process flows by leveraging collaboration with business units and observation to accomplish project goals. Document and flowchart business processes to gain an understanding of the processes and their dependencies. Identify improvements to process flows.
20% Manage the execution of core system development, including the creation and updating of reports and code. Work closely with business units and technical teams to ensure that all business requirements are accurately met. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to ensure that all system features are optimized at the credit union before proposing additional acquisitions.
20% Lead reviews of business processes to derive optimization strategies. Stay up to date on the latest processes and advancements in automation and modernizing systems and process flows including the usage of BOTS. Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
10% Lead the processes of development, testing, and execution of testing scripts and collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts and conduct unit testing. Lead business users in acceptance testing by organizing meetings and collecting approvals.
10% Participate in service ticket triage, serve as backup to Lead Business Analyst. Research requests as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience
5 years’ experience in business analysis of technology deployment and/or business process, preferably within the financial industry.
Education / Certifications / Licenses
This level of knowledge is acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, IT, or related field. (Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of education requirement). Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of systems utilized by the banking industry including, but not limited to, credit union core systems, internet and mobile banking systems, lending and new account origination systems, payment, and card systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of process diagramming tools such as Visio.
- Basic knowledge of the Credit Union’s various operating systems.
- Ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Advanced knowledge of Credit Union regulations, products, policies, procedures, and services.
- Ability to provide world class member service while executing Interra’s vision, mission, and delivery of Core Values.

Physical Requirements
- Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
- Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation.
- Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
- Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
- Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
- Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental and/or Emotional Requirements
- Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
