Lathe Operator

Job Summary

Interscope has an immediate full-time opening for a position as a Lathe Operator. A CNC Lathe Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, expertly setting up, programming and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathe machines with Haas controls to create high-precision metal and plastic parts. By skillfully reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders, they define the exact specifications needed for machining. Their meticulous attention to detail ensures that materials, tools, and machine settings are flawlessly configured for every job, resulting in exceptional quality and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Set up and operate the CNC Lathe machine with Hass controls to perform various machining operations

· Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders

· Program and adjust machine requirements based on job requirement

· Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, adjusting as needed to maintain product quality

· Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance with quality standards

· Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance

· Maintain accurate records of work performed including part counts, machine setting, and material usage.

· Collaborate with the team members to optimize the production process

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

· Occasional work in our machine assembly department

Qualifications and Skills

• ******MUST HAVE HAAS, KNEEMILL & PROTRACK EXPERIENCE****
• Proven experience in operating CNC machines
• Proficiency in programming logic controllers
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures
• Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T symbols
• Exceptionally detail-oriented, highly organized, and proven ability in attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Experience with milling machines is Plus
• Dependable, good attitude, pay negotiable based on experience

· Job Type: Full Time 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

· Starting rate: $22- $27 per hour with a 60-day introductory period.
