Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in geotechnical design and business development. This role involves leading geotechnical design efforts, conducting site investigations, preparing reports, and fostering client relationships to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical design for infrastructure and commercial projects.
- Conduct site investigations, subsurface exploration, and soil analysis.
- Prepare engineering reports, foundation design solutions, and technical memos.
- Perform slope stability, settlement, and seepage analysis.
- Provide technical support for retaining walls, foundations, and ground improvement techniques.
- Collaborate with project teams and clients for successful project execution.
- Engage in business development, including client meetings, proposal preparation, and networking.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or master s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in geotechnical design and analysis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, LPILE, GeoStudio, gINT).
- Experience in business development and client management is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic environment.
- Local candidates preferred or must be open to relocating to Virginia.
