Job description

2nd Shift Paint Department

Second Shift Hours 2:00PM to 10:30PM (Mon-Fri)

Overtime as needed.

SUMMARY

Artisan is responsible for preparing items for paint, mixing paint and painting signs to customer’s specification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and understand paperwork pertaining to the mixing of colors.

Mix the correct color of paint to customers request.

Paint signs correctly, ie: paint color, texture, shading.

Responsible for tools, equipment and supplies used in paint department.

Handle all maintenance and cleaning of paint wands.

Monitor jobs to insure quality and compliance with job standards.

Examine and test solutions, paints, products, and work pieces to ensure specification are met.

REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.

Ability to use commercial paint spray equipment is required.

Artisan shall have good organizational skills, ability to read and understand paperwork.

Be able to effectively communicate.

Responsible for all safety procedures for the paint booth. Safety glasses are required. A respirator, mask, paint suit, and all other safety equipment needed or requested will be provided.

While performing the duties of this job, the Artisan will require standing for 6 – 8 hours at a stretch, ability to lift a maximum of 60 pounds occasionally, may work in an environmentally controlled paint booth.
