Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring that all desktop systems and applications are functioning optimally. Duties
- Provide technical support for office environments, assisting users with hardware and software issues.
- Analyze and resolve desktop-related problems, including operating system errors and application malfunctions.
- Utilize tools such as Jira for tracking support requests and managing incident resolutions.
- Configure and maintain computer hardware, ensuring all devices are operational and up to date.
- Assist with DNS configurations and TCP/IP networking issues as needed.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Document all support activities accurately in the remedy system for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance overall service delivery and improve processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in desktop support or a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with office applications and operating systems (Windows, macOS).
- Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems for issue tracking.
- Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP networking concepts, and their application in a desktop environment.
- Excellent analytical skills to diagnose problems efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with users at all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
