InterSolutions, a property management staffing company, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Manager to oversee the effective management of workers' compensation claims as well as to implement the company’s overall safety program. This role will be responsible for managing claims from initiation through resolution, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing strategic oversight to focus on loss control, minimize risk and control costs. This position reports into the legal department and will also provide support on other legal matters as assigned.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims, including initial reporting, investigation, medical management, and resolution.
- Ensure that all claims are handled promptly, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Serve as a liaison between the employee, operations team, and insurance company.
- Manage relationship with workers’ compensation insurance company and ensure that adjuster has accurate information.
- Stay up-to-date on workers' compensation laws and regulations to ensure the organization is in compliance with all applicable state and federal requirements.
- Identify opportunities for claims cost reduction.
- Implement and administer the company’s safety program, implement strategies to minimize claims exposure, and develop proactive measures to prevent future claims.
- Administer return-to-work program for employees to reduce cost of claim. Identify candidates and create compliant offer letters, coordinate light-duty program and payroll for employees.
- Maintain restrictions for each employee and work with operations team to identify light-duty opportunities with clients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims, provide regular updates to senior management, and prepare reports on claims status, trends, and outcomes, including annual completion of OSHA 300 data.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees filing claims, providing guidance and support throughout the claims process.
- Provide other administrative / legal support to VP, Legal as needed.
