Intersport is seeking to add an organized and driven Manager/Senior Manager, Ticket Operations to its College Sports team. The portfolio of College Sports events consists of owned and operated properties including the Fort Myers Tip-Off, CBS Sports Classic, West Coast Hoops Showdown, Greenbrier Tip-Off, Women’s College Volleyball Showcase, and other continuously developing events – primarily in the college basketball space.
The Manager/Senior Manager, Ticket Operations is a full-time, permanent position. This team member will be responsible for managing all facets of ticket operations for our neutral site college basketball events. Intersport basketball events primarily occur at neutral site arenas (NBA arenas, etc.), and utilize the existing arena box office team and ticketing platform (typically Ticketmaster, sometimes AXS or Paciolan). This position will be the liaison to arena box office teams, participating schools’ ticketing directors, and secondary ticket partners. A background in ticket operations is important to this role, but candidates should have a broader skillset and interpersonal skills to confidently lead meetings and interact with constituents outside of the ticketing world – such as sponsors, school development directors and arena operations teams. This candidate should also feel comfortable selling to fans interested in purchasing premium offerings, such as suites, hospitality, travel packages, or group tickets. Knowledge of and interest in college basketball is preferred, since this position will help consult on predicted demand for various matchups, optimal ticket prices and max revenue models.

Responsibilities
Develop Pre-Event Ticketing Plans & Lead Ticket On-Sale Launches
- Collaborate with Director, Sales & Marketing to determine optimal ticket pricing, number of price levels and ATP for Intersport’s college basketball events
- Continually research other college hoops events to understand comparable pricing
- Build quick relationships with venue box offices and collaborate with them to build ticket scaling maps, finalize ticket fee structures, and get the final show ready for sale on ticket platforms
- Work closely with participating schools’ ticket offices to create an operational and communication plan for the school to either directly sell to their fans or to share a presale code
- Learn ticket needs from Intersport sponsor team and other constituents and place appropriate ticket holds before public ticket sale (also includes school holds, NBA scouts, ad trade, etc.)
- Ensure a successful operational launch of ticket sales (correct event info & graphics on ticket platform, presale codes functioning, pricing & fees correctly listed, URL shared appropriately)
Manage Ticket Operations Plans During On-Sale Phase
- Continually monitor ticket sales and available inventory to ensure proper inventory levels are available to fans and recommend pricing adjustments based on demand
- Ensure successful delivery and fulfillment of tickets to key constituent groups: sponsors, VIPs, fan travel package buyers, schools
- Work with arena box office to troubleshoot ticket issues that arise leading to and during events
- Create reports to communicate ticket sales results (quantity and revenue) to executive leadership, with an understanding of how to back out sales tax, fees, consignment, etc.
- Handle final billing process with schools and other entities who purchase consigned tickets
Help Maximize Ticket Revenue and Increase Awareness of Events
- Collaborate with the Director, Sales & Marketing and Manager to identify ways to broaden the reach of ticket sales messaging and awareness to fans
- Push arena box offices to maximize support for our events by utilizing their existing fan databases, ROFR programs and premium buyer lists
- Rally support from participating schools to proactively communicate presale and public sale dates and information to their season ticket holders, donors and larger fan databases
- Develop relationships with group sales leaders from host venues to orchestrate a deal to engage their group sales team to sell our event to their groups
Assist with the Planning and Execution of Ancillary Fan Revenue Streams
- Help develop new fan revenue streams such as fan travel packages, arena hospitality events, premium seat programs, or group sales experiences
- Work with Intersport’s operations team to create execution plans and understand costs
- Help set pricing and setup a process for fans to purchase the product online
- Assist in successful fulfillment of products and communicate with purchasing fans or groups
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of sporting event ticket operations or ticket sales experience
- Experience working in or directly with a sports venue box office
- Experience working with college athletics ticket offices a plus
- Comfortable interacting with new box office partners and an ability to quickly build successful business relationships
- Ability to travel to live events and promotional appearances multiple times per year
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills across a variety of audiences

The salary range for this role is: $55,000 to $92,000, depending on full-time, non-internship professional relevant experience. Manager: 4 to 6 years' experience; Senior Manager: 6 to 8 years' experience.
